my first image on here!
this was taken early in the morning - i was out hunting art-deco buildings in the city.
post-process/black+white conversion in photoshop.
be interested to know what you think!

it's difficult to find this style of building(still intact), as they are usually hidden away behind some modern thing that was thrown-up in about two weeks... plus there's usually someone in a hi-vis jacket wanting to know what i'm doing(as it was, when i was taking this - i got approached by the drunkest person i'd seen in a long time)...

and yes, i added some halo to the sky to give some emphasis to the top of the building(after darkening some tones in the sky in post-process).

I'm not a fan of the added halo here either. Maybe if you had gone less "black" with the sky, you would not have needed to halo as much?
Also, there is (to my eye) a bit too much barrel distortion for an architectural shot.
I like the repeating zig-zag lines though.

It ranks as a better than average architectual shot, but is weakened by the processing which has resulted in halo's.

As much as it suprises me, I really like this. It looks almost like a set from "Metropolis".

controversial as they are, i like using the halo effect(gives the image a supernal feel), i use it more for it's symbolism than appearance).
the black sky again, is not meant to be naturalistic - more of a dramatic device.
