The original looks a little cyan to me... and your edit looks way yellow..... hahaha

Yes the original is definitely on the cool side - the subject was obviously in some shadow. Warm it up a bit for sure, but Rick's edit doesn't look right either. Otherwise it's a great shot!

Yea.. the post here is a little cooler than what my PC showed.. seems to happen a lot... but still not as cool as the original

here's my trick for balancing color when you have a good bit of eye white. Point your color meter at the eye white and adjust until you get close to equal RGB. I found that it needed a pretty decent amount of cooling and a bit of moving towards green in the magenta green slider. I found a spot in the eye white that was about the average of the entire eye white and then moved the sliders until I got: R: 94, G: 94 B: 97

That put her skin at about R: 227 G: 208 B: 211 which is about right.

The above trick will most always get you in the ball park for young people whose eye whites aren't overly red or yellowed.

I added a slight vignette to it, and darkened it a bit.

My biggest issue with it is that the background is brighter than the subject. The subject also has GORGEOUS eyes if you look closely enough, multiple colors fading into one another. But they're so dark in the original from no direct light getting in there to fill it, that they look flat brown at first glance.

The background needs to be darkened and desaturated, and the subject needs to be brightened a bit.
