drowning my sorrows...

lol so anyway, i sold my camera, for less than i anticipated but still got a fair amount for it. now my heart is broken and im drowning my sorrows in coors..(sorry beer snobs i like it lol)

anyway.. as the depression passes, i feel the warmth of new doors opening.. not until tonight had i considered trying a film camera and really learning to use it, instead of depending on new age technology to help me.

however, thats not concrete yet, i am lazy occasionally, and i think i will still purchase a nicer digital camera, but which way do i go.. I suppose i could wait until i build up the necessary funds and go from there.. i think im still choosing between the 500d and the 50d..oh decisions decisions..

I went to your Flickr pages and viewed numerous pages of thumbnails,as saw that you do a LOT of people photography. I think you might want to consider a used Fuji S2 or S3 body as a camera to replace your Canon--a camera that has a warmer color palette and a very decidedly different look than the Rebel XT, which looks neutral to cold. You have a very warm, friendly, direct people photography style, but your camera's color and white balance tendency are both working against you most of the time.

Used S2's are selling for $250 or so these days. It could be paired with a $40 or so used 35-70MM F/3.3~4.5, or the little, plastic-barreled and yet amazingly sharp 28-80mm AF-D Nikkor lens, both of which sell on the flea bay for very little money.

i sold it for an eventual upgrade, its looking like now it'll happen sooner than i expected.
