Day 2 with the 5D Mark II, these were taken next to a lake in my complex. I took very few photos this time and only chose 2 to show for C&C. Shot with the 70-200mm f/4 L.

I think #1 is under exposed, which is causing it to fall into the background with the DOF that you have there, #2 I think needs to be cropped up just a bit and a bit more light , 2 is the better of the two, not sure if you can save #1.

I took a couple of shots of Number 1, heres the second, it has more sky in the background so it doesn't blend so much, what do you think?


As for number 2, here it is cropped a little higher and slightly brightened. I was worried about empty space at the top, but it's probably a non-issue.

I thought I'd throw this on here too. This was just a quick 'benchmark' photo I took as soon as I left the house, but I like his expression and I thought it turned out okay for what was supposed to be just a snapshot. I wish I didn't cut his front paws off though...:thumbdown:
