dslr for beginner

I watched few videos shot on Nikon/Canon/Sony and I'm not really impressed by auto focusing ... I also thought about buying a camera, but although I'd like to make videos, shooting pictures is important too. So first I need dslr to begin with and maybe later, I'll buy a camcorder

LOL I was just about to say the same thing. Video cameras also don't do DOF without a $400+ adapter, unless you get a used adapter, but even then you are looking at an extra $150+ just to add camera lenses to it.

OP get a DSLR that does full HD like the T2i or T3i. That way you have the option of doing both video and stills. Just the lens adapter alone will cost you about half the price of both of these cameras.

Actually I haven't ... If you watch the videos on youtube shot on Sony a33 or Nikon d5100 the autofocus is really annoying sometimes.
