DSLR Sensor cleaning

I too have heard of all the problems associated w/ compressed air like duster. I recently saw co2 that was being pushed and it said that it was so much safer than other duster type products, but it all sounds the same to me.

I would try that rocket blower by Giotto or whoever the manufacturer is, but it sounds like sensor swabs and eclipse is the cure all and gets all dust everytime where as the bulb blowers can't dislodge welded dust.

Oh Yeah?

Dang?

Looks like I'll be getting the swabs and sensor cleaner then.

As long as you dont spray any direct liquid it shouldn't ruin your camera. The liquid is CO2, and that stuff is very cold (hold the can upside down and spray a bit on the palm of your hand, just a quick squirt).

But, even when it is spraying just the air, the propellent that is used has all sorts of contaiminants inside which will be hitting your sensor. Since there is liquid inside of the can it is very easy for the particles to have moisture in them, and if that gets on your sensor you WILL need swabs to get them off.

Better to avoid compressed air for everything delicate.
