I have a bunch of short videos of my daughter saved as .avi. I would like to put them on a dvd to give to grandparents. I'm having problems finding a good piece of software for that. What do you folks recommend?

Windows comes with one, called Windows Movie Maker. It's very good, and you probably already have it.

Well, movie maker can only save to CD, which is rather useless. I gave Xilisoft AVI to DVD Converter. That's a real piece of crap. Made 2 coasters w/ that. I finally went to DVDit Pro HD by Roxio which is much more program than I needed, but it does work and it may be useful in the future w/ other projects now that I have that functionality.

aah ok. I'm pretty sure it does (windows movie maker), but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I also used one called ConvertXtoDVD which was fantastic for burning movies. I don't remember if its freeware or pay tho. Worth a google tho.
