Dying Flowers

I was bored today and took two shots of some of my mom's dying roses. They don't even look like roses now. C&C please and thank you!

I may be a noob on this forum but I am no noob at photography. But thank you so much! And yes, I do have plenty to learn. I think people can never stop learning. Even the wisest in their art can learn a few tricks.

The first one is my favorite of the two. But, I do like both of them. I love the high contrast approach you took with these images and you managed to keep the important details in tact as well, which is quite the accomplishment. I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of the compositions, but they certainly aren't bad, by any means. So yes, nice work with these shots, I really love what you did with them.

Well, haha, don't be hard on yourself; I'm not sure the composition could be 'much' better. Better? Sure. But neither shot has bad composition. So, you know, don't get all down on the shots by saying 'much better', for 'much better' is simply not the case with these two shots.

P.S. Saw your people shots; loved your use of the color green in the tints. I am a massive, massive fan of green-tinted portraiture. Nice to see other people using it!
