These are a pretty heavy crop from a D7100 I borrowed for our trip up north. As a result, the IQ isn't the greatest. But I still thought they turned out okay.

All shot with the D7100, 70-200 f/2.8 at f/8ish.

4. Juvenile coming in for a landing

5. Well, not an eagle, but this gull was buzzing around, too.

Great set my fave is 1 you shot these with a 70-200mm!!!!???

ive seen worse IQ from closer shots with zero crop :P

I love the lighting in the first one.

Very nice set.

Very nice set.
Thanks!

Very nice. #4 for me.
Thank you! That one was a moment of luck having just started motoring away, I threw it in neutral and grabbed the camera just in time!

Haha, very true!

These look great! My favorite is definitely #4, such a cool shot showing the eagle making its landing.
Thank you!

I love the lighting in the first one.
The lighting is what made that one a keeper for me.

Very nice set.
Thanks!

I wish the wingtip wasn't cut off in number 1....it is my favorite. Nicely done. It is my experience that using a kayak always gets me closer too.
I completely agree, I wish and wish the same thing. The Eagle was actually all the way at the bottom of the frame when I captured it, hence the wingtip being cut off. It kept making abrupt turns so it was hard to track..

Awesome set! I like #2 and #3 best. 2 is just such a classic and shows the wingspan and eagle eye focus. 3 I love because its an unusual angle. I'm assuming he was flying over you but it looks almost like a phoenix rising pose.

Love no.2 and no.5 , especially no.2 cracker!
