2 & 4 are my favorites - like the early morning "soft" feel!

Cronulla? - I had to look it up - isn't Google great? - to find it is part of Sydney, down under (or am I missing something). Anyway - I like the last one best of all, although I might try dodging the forefround to lighten it up a bit. The first two are also interesting for their colours.

Yep south east Sydney. Famous for beaches and riots.
I agree on the foreground and did try to lighten it, however being new to lightroom I couldn't quite figure it out.

Riots? We probably don't want to know - now beaches that's something else. Anyway, as far as a bit of dodging in Lightroom is concerned, you can use the adjustment brush, or, if it was me I might try the graduated filter a bit, but I think the adjustment brush should do the trick. You might have to experiment with it to get the size, feather and flow just right. Then you could adjust the exposure and maybe the shadows slider to lighten it up a bit. Create a virtual copy to "experiment" with and see what works. HTH

Ok I've tried lightening it a bit

This is quite good actually, if this the first time you have tried this. I would not have lightened up the water in the foreground quite as much, as its brightness tends to grab your eye, but I do like how you have lightened up the rocks (assuming that's what they are). I think I would have left the foreground water about the same as it was in the original, or cropped a lot of it out, maybe about where the water ends and the rocks begins - just my humble opinion. HTH.
