Early Morning Heron

Saw this guy along our waterfront early this morning just as the sun was starting to hit the shoreline He didnt mind me going out on the deck, I think he was doing his morning meditation.

Sadly I also found that oil spots have fouond their way to the sensor again. When i got the camera a few years ago (EOS T3 free with airmiles) I found perfectly round spots on pictures with solid backgrounds like blue sky or water. I had the sensor cleaned and that solved the problem but I was afraid they would come back. I never change the lens on this old guy. Today I noticed a good size one in the water area which had to be cloned out.

Oil spots are the worse. I get them all the time on my D4.

I need to start waking up earlier...love that heron. The ones at my place aren't so cooperative.

Thanks everyone. I felt lucky he stayed for a few shots. He usually is gone at the first movement I make to go outside.
