eBay modifiers and speedrings

I have bought a set of Hensel Integra Pro 500s.
I would really like both a regular softbox, a stripbox and an octagonal softbox.
That's some serious $$ in Hensel softboxes.

I searched eBay and found a lot of softboxes for $70-150.
They sell them with Hensel Speedrings.

My questions are:

1. Will I be able to fit them on my Integras?
2. Is the light quality about the same as the original Hensel softboxes, or are they pure crap? Biggest problem with eBay: No product customer review.

Hope this brilliant forum yet again shows its... well, brilliance.

Have you ever heard the saying:

You generally get what you pay for.

There are reasons cheaper softboxes (or anything else) are cheaper.

• inferior materials are used
• inferior manufacturing processes are used
• less skilled labor is used to manufacture the item(s)

I would definately expect a different light quality, and less control of the light quality, with the eBay pieces.

I prefer Chimera softboxes myself.

B&H tells me that the Integra Pro monolights isn't compatible with other brands' softboxex even with the use of a Hensel speedring.

Here's the mail:

Hensel made a different connection for there Integra head and that is what they called it, EH
So the accessories need to have that same connection.
There are some other companies that have made some with that connection but most accessories that work will need to be Hensel brand.

Are they serious?
So if I have a lot of nice softboxes with Hensel speedrings, I cannot use any of them because Hensel decided to use a special type of EH connection for the Integras?

Does anyone know anything about this and can help me get my head wrapped around this?
