Well, if the ebay auction listing did not mention about the $26k that came with it, then I think there's a chance that he can get the money back. Unless of course he used the term "sold as is" lol!

The money never belonged to the seller anyway. The description on eBay says they got it at an estate auction or similar. It does also say that everything is sold as-is and that there are no returns.

Seller is a dumbass for not getting the combination and seeing what was in it, buyer is a dumbass for telling seller what was in it.
