Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi! Ok, anyone know of a good place to get a tutorial on how to make a black background more black? Or know how to? Thanks!

What software?

Using strobed light on the subject and your camera's x-sync shutter speed always helps to make the ambient light exposure darker. You have to be sure and control the strobed light so it doesn't spill onto the background too though.

As far as doing it post process, it really depends on the photo subject matter and what software you have available. There are many ways it can be done post process.

I gotcha :)

Well since I'm in post process now :/ can u give me some tips on tweaking it?

Go to the Select menu and pick Color Range. In the dialog there's a drop box labeled Select: Click and from the menu select Shadows. If you're lucky you just selected the background. Open the layers palette and find the icon at the bottom that looks like a circle divided in half one side black the other white. Click and from the menu select Levels -- drag the midpoint slider to the right.

If you have to do this to the point that the masking shows you'll need to edit the mask. Photoshop created an adjustment layer and if you look at it there's a mask there. The mask can be edited to smooth out the edges.

You can either blur the mask or use the Mask edit dialog.
