I've actually been considering this (but don't want to be the first one to buy) 
. It might make a very nice travel lens (and is smaller/lighter than my 100-300mm f/4 as well as being water resistant and having IS). It will be interesting to see how it performs with a 1.4x.
It's not as expensive as I thought it was going to be.
