I can't believe that though. Anyone taking pictures for any reason is now a friggin terrorist? Stupid. I don't care what kinda terrorist you are, but if you were gonna take pictures of a place you'd take them. No idiot telling people not to take pictures is gonna stop them.

I'm curious. Who was it that gave me a negative rep point for this comment?

And what exactly was the reasoning?

Baffles my mind why someone would actually give negative rep. Can't you just SAY you don't like what I said. Then maybe we could have a logical conversation about it?

Seriously, I have found the best way to diffuse the tension at public areas is saying, "I am working on my photography assignment". It seems to work most of the time. (Of course the assignment is for anything I happen to be shooting at the moment ). The other day I was shooting at the train station at one of the toney towns in this area and a policeman came up and asked what I was doing. Ah, duh, taking a picture. I used the assignment line. He actually turned out to be a nice guy and told me about a secret place to take pictures:thumbup: Alex, I don't know how they are in Canada but trespassing on railroad property around here is a no-no. I have gotten to know some of the guys at our local train yard and they let me slide but if the boss comes around they will toss me.

Actually, the guy said he was gonna get them to me today.

Looks like relying on other people has left me empty handed again.

I think that a "Public School" only refers to the fact that anyone can go to school there. I don't believe the word "public" means you can enter school property at anytime you want to during school hours and kids are present without permission. After hours may be another story.

Seeking permission is never a bad idea.
