Hello all,
You guys helped in choosing a dslr for my daughter's birthday , but I now need help in preserving family memories that I've taken. I had shot Kodachrome with my Canon AT-1 up until the end of days and then went to Ektachrome. Much to MY surprise, the transparencies from as little as 10 years ago have gone to blue tint and faded horrificly. What is the current recommendation, if any, on how to:
1) prevent further degradation of what I have and
2) possibly repairing the damage that's been done due to the passage of time, if possible
I've ever stored the slides in B&H cubes in a B&H cube box on the top shelf of a room temperature bedroom closet (dark).
Thanks for any thoughts or direction on this. I still have a few rolls of fridge -stored Ekta VS and G that I bought last year (expired 9-13 and 2-13 respectively) plus a few rolls of 1600 (expired 2004) that I need to shoot and see what happens.
