Embed camera settings in RAW data

I believe I once saw how to embed the camera settings in a RAW data file but now I cannot find it. I have a Canon EOS 80D.

Is there a way to do this?

It's called EXIF. It's not a seperate file... it's part of the image file itself. The camera usually does this automatically. All you need is software that can 'read' it. Usually, the app that comes with the camera does this natively.
