You chopped off that poor woman's feet! Now she will never be able to wear fancy shoes :cry:


I like the idea, however her posture makes the pose seem a bit awkward, and your composition chopped off her feet leaving her to lead a life of crutches / debilitating prosthetics and facing the judgement of her peers ( DON'T CHOP OFF LIMBS! ). As for the background elements, it has the potential to be interesting, but I would have moved your model to the left and eliminated the dead space to the right.

This kind of smart-alecky C&C is exactly what I WANTED TO SAY!!!!! lol.... Yeah, I agree...it would have really completed the photo to have shown her actually standing in that incoming wave...a few more inches of space allocated for her on which to stand would have been a good trade-off for the excess amount of space above her head. I think that you could try re-cropping this, and crop wayyyyy in. Try a crop that ends just below her left knee--making sure to leave all of her fingers in the frame, and then crop off some on the right, and some on the left, and some off the top.
