Enfuse and EnfuseGUI - any users?

It appears that Enfuse is an alternative to HDR processing and/or focus stacking processing. Anyone use it? I'm trying to understand the workflow and options. May need someone who can write slow so that I can comprehend.

My T1i has gotten frigging visual rockets under its somewhat tired wings.

Still got a lot of experimentation/learning to do, but the first pass using Magic Lantern's HDR function, and combining the images in Enfuse using the Enduse GUI... are amazing. No, not posting them as they are test shots of a rather messy living room, this is really encouraging. Next step, test what can be done with focus stacking.

So focus stacking can be done... if the images are perfectly aligned. Otherwise, it's mush. So. Off to research alignment tools. Or try something less difficult than 1:1 magnification. Gotta keep reminding myself - baby steps.

enfuse of 5 shots (main + 1 stop bracket + 2 stop bracket). Default enfuse options used.

Preliminary conclusion is that the second is closer to how I think that corner of the room looks.
