Eos 350d, slow flash!?

Hey guys, got a 350d, and the flash takes forever (a few seconds) to 're charge' after each photo, and being being a cheapskate, doesnt want to fork out to buy a better flash!! is there a way of speeding it up?

Are you talking about the pop-up flash or an external flash? I don't know what you could do to speed up the pop-up, but better batteries or a battery pack will help an external flash. I use PowerEx batteries, which i get from here: http://www.thomas-distributing.com/rechargeable-batteries.php

The internal flash on a camera is just crap. But the charge rate depends on how long it fired for. If the flash fires at full it takes long to recharge regardless of what flash you use. My Nikon SB-800 still takes 4 seconds to recharge after a full discharge even with 5 NiMha batteries.
