Epson or Sony?

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place. I dont really know anything about cameras or know anyone who does, so I was wondering if someone here would be kind enough to help me. I need a digital camera and after some searching Ive narrowed my choices down to two. To me they both appear to have their ups and downs. I for some reason doubt it will work for too long, but heres a link. http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_...+Products.x=53&Compare+Selected+Products.y=10 (Hope that works.) Ignoring the price difference, which one of those is the better camera?

Welcome to the forum.

I only see specs for the Epson, on that link. Go to www.dpreview.com and you can do a side by side comparison of the two cameras you are thinking about.

I like the Epson better...

It has a closer macro range (5cm vs 10cm)
It as a bigger aperture when zoomed out
Faster max shutter speed (1/2000 vs 1/1000)
More than twice as fast frame rate (3.0 vs 1.3)
Uses SD cards rather than memory sticks
LCD is a lot bigger (2.5" vs 1.5")
Higher effective resolution (4.9 vs 3.9)

It looks like the Epson is a hands down winner to me.
