Experimenting with projected backdrop

Spent a little time today experimenting with a backdrop projected on a white block wall. Would like some C&C on the shot

Well, the background is being projected on a white block wall(in my basement) with a DLP projector.

Very nice - it looks totally real to me. If you hadn't said it was projected, I doubt I'd be able to tell.

I agree. After you go to the beach then you might be able to go to Mars.

I used a flag between the umbrella and the projected image and snooted the hair light.

Can you give us specs on your projector? Curious if old ones lying around would do or is yours a pretty serious model.

Thanks 412 Burgh. It's not revolutionary but I don't see a lot of people using it though. It' kind of a PIA. The specs are...6 or 7 year old Sharp XR-10X-L DLP projector 2000 ANSI Lumens & as for the camera F/6.3 1/25sec. ISO-400 150mm. If the shutter speed is to slow you end up with black outlines on parts of the subject if subject is not still but 1/25 seems ok
