external flash

I'm looking to get an external flash, and I'm leaning towards the SB-400 (mainly because of the price tag). Should I hold out for the SB-600? Is it worth the extra money? What's the difference?

SB-600 can be used wirelessly for free with the D50, D70's, D80, D200, and D300.

The SB-600 is also much more powerful, and can tilt and swivel the head any direction but down.

Depending on the camera you have I would absolutely get the SB-600. Personally unless I had some advanced point and shoot camera I would not get that 400.

Get the SB-600, I did and it is MUCH better!

Read the specs, read the reviews. Get the SB-600. Then later maybe the SB-800. I got the best price at B&H for both.

The differences between the SB-600 and SB-800 are not worth it if you're on a tight budget. The differences between the SB-400 and SB-600 ARE!

Actually, the D50 cannot fire the SB-600 (or anything else) wirelessly.
