...or peanuts. Whatever.

I'm obviously not a macro photographer, but I was bored and I had some extra peanuts so I snapped a picture. I shot this with my 70-200 using extension tubes. I have no idea how to use them or even why I have them but it was fun playing around a bit.

Surely you've heard the old expression, "Even a blind photographer with a 70-200 and a set of extension tubes finds a peanut once in a while."

Yerp, it be peanut.

Delicious if you boil them.

But for that you have to start with fresh peanuts not roasted.

And based on this image I am guessing these are roasted and salted.

Anyhow,

In case you were wondering...

and you probably weren't.

Oh yeah, love me some boiled peanuts.

Have fond memories as a youngster, traveling from Florida to the Carolinas every summer to visit relatives, traveling through Georgia, pulling over on the side of the road to buy a couple bags of boiled peanuts. Folks set up all along the roadways selling them. Yum Yum!
