Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hi everyone, my name is Linko and I'm extremely new to this forum and in photography as well. I'm so new in fact, that i don't have a camera yet and i don't know anything about photography but its a hobby i would like to pursue. Can anyone give me any advice as to where to start?

First ... get money.
Second ... figure out what you can buy.
Third ... buy camera equipment.
Fourth ... take pictures.

We can't help you with the first part.

I'd order it more like

First...decide what you need.
Second...get the money for it.
Third...buy equipment
Fourth...while reading the owners manual and a good beginners book on the fundamentals of photography, practice taking pictures.

Understanding exposure. By Bryan Petterson. That's the best beginner book around. Decide a budget buy a good new or used dslr. Decide what kind of pictures you want to take and buy your equipment lenses etc accordingly.

Don't waste your time.....photography sucks!!! Pay off your credit card statement instead!! :lmao:

Welcome to the forum.
Buy camera, go pro.
Disregard us assholes.

Actually absorb as much as you can, there is alot to learn and alot of info here. Good Luck.

My advice as a fellow newbie is look up a good beginner camera - something easy to use but that has all the settings a big kid camera does... just not as spectacular....
I have a canon t1i and I LOVE it. My dad went halves with me on it for my bday 2009. The kit comes with 2 lenses and the camera. I think we spent $900? Anyways... second I would look for a book/magazine called Peterson's PhotoGraphic.... It is awesome for laying out the basics for visually attractive pictures... Things like paying attention to the back and foregrounds as well as your subject, rule of thirds, good color, and good details.... and when you get your camera READ the MANUAL! When you read it it probably wont make any sense, but after you learn a little and your trying to take a certain kind of photo (say writing with light) you will be able to say "hey I read somewhere about the Bulb setting on my camera" and then look it back up and apply it to your picture taking.

Happy Photographing!
