I used to have this rubber eye cup on my Canon AE1. It did a great job of ensuring a more lightproof seal between my face and the camera... helped to expose the shot without me grinding my eyeball into the eyepiece.

Has anyone seen such a beast for sale? I haven't seen one anywhere in searching. I might be looking using the wrong terms.

Thanks!

This seems to be a common complaint. This guy came up with a solution it looks like

^^^ oh yes... nice. I may try that. Thank you!

UPDATE...

I found an eye cup on ebay. Just got it today. (from Japan, interestingly enough)

I like it. It's very comfortable, totally seals off exterior light, and has the added benefit of keeping my ginormous schnoz off of the LCD screen. It does kinda stick out a lot more than the one I had on my AE1 eons ago, but it seems to work better too. I'll let y'all know how it works in the field, but so far I'm pleased.
