Interestingly, the exposure information on the accompanying photos all say that the focal length is 50mm. Why is that?
 
Perhaps because this is a rather well done SPAM post with misleading photos. This is the one and only post by the OP hyping a particular lens. Just saying.

I think 50mm is a 'default' focal length for the non-chipped lens options you can program in. If you don't punch in a specific focal length into the camera, it will assume it's 50mm no matter what lens you put on.

Hey Sparky, speaking of that, on my D7200 there is a menu entry for non CPU lens. What if I have lets say and 80-200mm zoom, do I enter 200mm or 80?

I'd put in some odd FL like 120mm. That way I would know it was a 80-200 zoom lens since I don't own a 120mm prime (although I used to back in my early film days).
