I just started my facebook photography page. I know by no means am I a professional and I am defiantly still learning. Plus I'm not charging anyone so what could it hurt. I just need more people to like it. So I figured why not as my little (big) family at TPF. If y'all could just go to J|h|t Photography | Facebook and if you like what you see like my page. If you like my page you let me know your link and I'll like yours. Thanks hopefully some of you guys and gals will help me build it up more.

Oh and if you have any suggestions on making the photos better or anything like that please send me a pm rather that posting directly on the wall. Thanks

This part is interesting.
Isn't it a little dishonest to artificially inflate your "like" numbers?

This part is interesting.
Isn't it a little dishonest to artificially inflate your "like" numbers?

I think it's a courtesy - I wouldn't go criticizing anyone's photos in front of clients/potential clients unless there was some serious reason to do so that I wanted them to see (like, "hey bastard - you stole my photos!"). If the poster is really interested in improving, a discussion via message should take care of that adequately. And if not, I guess that would be the time to "unlike." Besides which, some comments might be wrong (not YOU of course, but you know, some lesser artist

) - I wouldn't want that on my wall either.

And as far as the artificial inflation - if it's dishonest, every single business, group, fan page, organization on FB is probably dishonest under that definition. And maybe that's true....

And no, I don't have a photo FB page, jftr.

Why are you defiant about learning, isn't that the most important piece of the photography puzzle?

Bitter-not artificially inflating my page, that's why in the post I put if you like my work then like my page. The reason I put that was I would rather my potential clients (not charging) to judge my work themselves without reading someone else's post that knows more than me down grade my work. But, I am open to improvement that is why I would rather someone pm me directly. Light-I meant definatly not defiantly. Just stating that I am still learning and want to learn as much and all that I can. I'm not trying to come off as this professional that takes amazing pictures. I'm just trying to be me. And, SL thanks for the add, added you as well.
