I found this old Kodachrome 64 slide in my photo boxes, and it looked to be in good shape, so I scanned it and thought I'd share. Somewhere in South Georgia with a Pentax MX/28mm...

Beautiful colors, are you going to go back and re-shoot it?

That tree has likely been covered by many layers of sediment by now, the sea has transgressed and regressed numerous times, and there is probably a major geologic disconformity somewhere above it from the mass extinctions after the asteroid strike later on- besides, I could never find the spot again, so I'm guessing no...

I very much like such oversaturated images... i think this would work better without those red leaves in front? do you have such one?

Sadly, there was just the one. I was at a ground water well monitoring site for the USGS, and just took the shot as I did my job. :blushing:

Kodachromes always looked over-saturated- a great thing about chromes, and only enhanced when printed on Cibachrome paper. The linear polarizer filter was really effective, as well- digi CPL filters just don't seem to do very much by comparison.
