Fall foliage

I spent a considerable amount of time this fall trying my best to take some meaningful fall foliage pictures. Try as I might, and after dozens and dozens of photos, I could only come up with a handful that I actually liked. Here's what I feel are my best efforts. CC's welcomed.

All of the shots are showing foliage that is severely damaged (bugs, disease, pollution?). Is there no foliage in that area that was damaged... so that you could get shots showing off the color and beauty, without the deterioration? I guess it depends on what you are trying to show?

Unfortunately, after a humid hot summer, that what the vast majority of leaves look liked everywhere I went. Even in my backyard, the bugs have had a "field day". It's just what it's like here on LI.
