Family photo shoot -- gentle C&C requested!

Hi, all! This is my first time posting pictures. I'm a new photographer, very excited to learn, and currently photographing mainly family members to gain experience.

Here are a few shots from a recent shoot. I would love to get some feedback.

Welcome; C&C per req:

1. Very nice; I love this composition. Nice lighting, good eposure and very creative. My only thought is perhaps a slightly tighter crop on the sides?

2. Very nice; good background, nice expressions, 'though again I think a bit more empty space than necessary. The only niggle here is the bright sun causing them to squint.

3. Great shot.

4. Awesome blackmail potential here! This one looks like it could stand to be 2/3 - 1 stop brighter, but other than that, nice.

Overall, a great series, if and if this is the beginning of your time as a photographer, I have to say you have a very bright future ahead of you. Looking forward to more!

John, your comments were very kind. I have other shots from the same shoot that didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. Maybe I should post a couple of those here as well.
