We saw this over the weekend. Apparently he found one of the starlings I shot an tossed over there...

If you know what to look for, there's another carcass in the foreground. It was a prolific weekend.

We definitely have a pair of red-bellied woodpeckers making a nest in a tree in my yard, like last year. I will continue to provide the woodpeckers with sniper support against the invasive starlings.

hope it doesn't chip a tooth on the bullet. nice sharp details on the hawk.
 
Awe, poor Starling:allteeth:;). Good to see an environmental shot of a predator feeding.
