feedback please

this is a photo i took of my pet chameleon. please let me know what i can do to improve my photography.

it was taken on a Nikon d7100 with a 35 mm f1.8 Nikon lens
-iso 100
-f 4
-shutter speed 1/30

i really don't know much about post processing and used the nikon software

Very nice! I might drop the highlights just a tech on his head, but that's about it.

Yeah I honestly dont see anything wrong with this photo. I like the contrast of the black background, the dark leaves but then his intense colors.

Not to mention the, "Really? Aren't you done yet????" expression!

Just that centrally-located leaf at the bottom of the frame is somewhat distracting. Other than that, it is very good.

BTW: if you want someone to make it disappear, change your profile settings to allow somebody to edit your photos.

Yeah, this is pretty great. Razor sharp focus, great black background, a terrific expression on the animal's face...lose that leaf in the bottom center and it's pretty much perfect.
