Hi Everyone

I am pretty new to the forum, I joined a while ago but never really had the time, or knowledge. I have always been very interested in photography, but now have the time to devote to it and try and improve. I am taking an online course, which is helping tremendously. I just purchased a used Canon 5d 12.8, but haven't received it yet, so all these photos are taken with my Rebel XT.

Please feel free to critque, and give any opinions I have very open to all suggestions

I am here to improve, and I know I have a lot of learning and improving, so help is very welcome!

Too bad you cut off the nose of the horse in the first one. It looked like a keeper. These all seem a touch over exposed. Thats all i really notice. Keep it up

The 3rd pictures, i really like. You can really see the muscles and the power of the horse about to start pulling out of that corner! love it !

All (well, most) of these have potential but don't quite 'make it', whether the reason be framing, missing the focus slightly, etc. My number one tip to you would be to QUIT TILTING YOUR CAMERA! Your camera grip runs parallel to the y-axis for a reason. Others would disagree... I think it's a ridiculous gimmick that people use to make their stuff look artsy or better than it is.

Thank you. Any other suggestions? Which one did I miss the focus? I don't have a very great eye for that yet...

I have not being using a flash, as I honestly have no freakin clue what to do with it. My course hasn't covered it, and the information online that I have found is hard to really understand as it is pretty peiced together. I think it is in the next module, I am sure glad I took the course though, I have learned a lot.
