Longer focal lengths will exaggerate any movement on your part. That's when image stabilization comes in handy...or a good tripod.

I like the second image but the first one could be cropped closer to the subjects.

yea.. I have a pretty cheap tripod.

Very little, just changed the contrast and brightness a little bit.
