I hope you get a lot of use and pleasure how does the new 100 mm macro

I wasn't sure about it, but so far I've been pleased. The only down side is it's almost impossible to get the lens cap on or off with the lens hood on. Used it on a shoot Sunday afternoon on some ambient light portraits. Really nice rendering.

There is an easy answer to your lens cap problem - dispense with the lens cap and just keep the lens hood on.

I know I'm extremely anal about leaving the lens cap off. Fortunately it is a an external snap lock hood that can be reversed quickly.

Love that picture, awesome bokeh! In the rainy season in the dangerous and dewy mountains of the Korean DMZ when we were on ambush patrol we simply put a condom over the lens. Condoms keep everything safe and best of all, they're silent. :cool-98:

Improvise!!! There was a story going around that during the Gulf War the Britts sent 500,000 camo ones with the express purpose of keeping sand out of the troops barrels. :allteeth:
