Filter makes

I'm looking for a set of filters for a digital camera with a 35.5 diameter lens. I know 47 St Photo is trying to push some obscure make called Opteka, but I'm not buying it (figuritively OR literally)! I'm looking for a respectable brand. Can you folks recommend a source for the common filters - UV, Polarizing, etc.? Minolta doesn't seem to make any for their cameras (what's wrong with them :?: )
