Filter size

I have always used a UV filter to protect my lenses, I bought a XTi kit with the standard 18-55mm lens, and I'm wondering what size filter I need for it?
thanks I tried to look around for the info so I hope it wasn't an easy search that I couldnt find.

According to this, it's 58mm if this is the lens you mean
