Final 6 Submitted For Photography Board

These are 5 of my final six shots submitted for my AS Photography final board. I submitted these in december and I have got my provisional grade back as an A. So im pretty happy.

Just thought I'd share.

Congrats on the A!!! IMO these pics are worthy of one, I always love a good B&W shot, especially with great contrast and these have it Nice work!!!

I was trying to hide its obvious circular shape with the dark area at the bottom but I also wanted to maintain a little detail, but not enough to be clearly visible. Like with #4, I really liked the shadow but I wanted to maintain the shape of the white outline running round the guitar without losing it in the shadow.

Thanks Dan! I was pretty chuffed with the A. I just gotta do a little more writing on how I progressed my ideas.

The theme was Shape and/or Form btw!

I think I've commented on some of these pictures, but let me just reiterate that I love them!

Paul, #1 has such a classic, retro feel. I expect to see some old Motown record on there. The dirt specs on the print make me think of the scratchy record sound that I would hear when I first touched the needle to the record. It takes me back to my early childhood in the 70s, when I used to listen to my mom's records with big headphones like that.

#4 is great as well, both in composition, and contrast / range of values.

I use a Takamine EAN10CX Natural Series.... They have really clear tone... love it! :mrgreen:

I love all of these shots, but especially #3. I just love that flare, it really draws my eye into the shot.
