What's new

Finally got a studio setup in my house

Muslin is fine, but perhaps shoot them in Black and white? I don't particularly like the way most muslin's look in color. Also, don't put the lights 45 degrees and eye level, use kickers to create some depth.
so what is the ideal angles. I usually go by 45 up and 45 to the side. So use alot of side style lighting. Thanks for the help guys.
Anywhere besides 45 degrees and eye level. Try something different, try using only 1 light, right above and behind you for some butterfly style lighting, or put it about 45 degrees, but behind them with the light towards you. Look at other boudoir photos and dissect how they lit them.

You mean add some back lighting as well. I understand what you mean though. Add shadows to show her curves off through more dramatic lighting.

First, I do not have experience with backdrop. However, if I am going to do it, I may try getting the gray color seamless papers and then use flash with gel to color it.
No one in my town sells seamless paper. it takes days to order in and the shoot is sunday
BH.com has SUPER fast shipping! Order it today before 3pm get it tomorrow! I just bought a lens this morning and its gonna be here tomorrow :)Its funny because they charge extra for next day shipping option, but their STANDARD shipping gets here next day :)
I'm in canada it has to go through customs so it'll be delayed.
