I keep quite a few large predatory fish in the cichlid family called Parachromis. The are noted for their very distinct canine teeth...even at a young age. This pair (they are two different fish) are approximately 7 inches...halfway to their full adult potential.
The pictures were takesn with a Nikon D200 and 105mm Nikkor Micro lens using aperture priority. The ISO was 250, aperture f13 at a shutter speed of 1/60th of a second. The flash was place above the tank pointed down at an angle. I used a diffusion screen on the flash...and cut the power by 1/3 to compensate for the closeness of the flash head.
