Intense sunset on coast of Washington. This was a residual of a dust storm in Mongolia, so I went out to see if I could find a red sunset. Looks like I found it! :D

WOW, I love the reflections of the sky in the water!

Thank you Lyncca! Of course, those reflections are what made me stop dead in my tracks!

Wow is right. I love the edges of the pool.

saltface, yes those edges and their scalloped reflections from the wet sand really framed the main pool. Thank you for commenting!

Beautifil shot.

But I'm trying to wrap my head around the connection between the coast of Washington and Mongolia.

That's really nice! Good hunting.

THANKS all of you! I appreciate the feeback!

Regarding the "connection" to Mongolia...the Taklah Makan desert in northern China and southern Mongolia kicked up a huge dust storm. It produced a cloud that drifted east with the pressure gradient winds, and then got picked up by the Pacific trade winds. The dust was still pretty unified as it passed over North America, and the coast of Washington experienced 2-3 days of intense sunsets because of the refracted light on the dust particles.

Hope that explains it!
