First time experimenting with self portrait. Things that bug me about it, Shadow behind my shoulders and uneven skin tones (i was at the beach all week and my tan isn't exactly even). I don't have a flash unit so this was shot using natural light. Yes, the backdrop is a bed sheet, it's all i had.

Tear it up...

FWIW: It took me a while to get somewhat of a natural expression. I don't enjoy pictures of myself.

Haha yeah it is a bit like a mug shot :/

if you have photoshop you can EASILY fix your skin tone with this youtube tutorial works like a charm 90% of the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5gZQ3QE5ys

o
r on a BLANK layer, select the skin color you want to copy and sample it with the eyedropper, drop the % down to like 8-20% and paint over the skin you want to correct. where you mess up and go over the wrong skin you can just erase seeing as you are on a blank layer... you can then either drop the opacity of that layer to allow texture or change blend mode to color..

not sure if you were looking for advice on that or not.. but thought i would let you know about that youtube vid.
