Here you go. First two shots capture a good reflection. The third shot features a cool magnification. Any CC appreciated.

I like #1
#2 i think would be better if there wasn't so much green in the background. It makes it really hard to tell what is going on.
#3 I just don't think is very compeling.
Keep up the good work though the focus looks pretty good.

Love the first and last one. Looks very "pure"

Thanks for the comments.

I had a hard time trying to find the right crop for #2. I may go back and just focus on the single leaf the droplet is on, and maybe desaturate the background a little...

I like the first one. I think, however, it could be improved if you put some color into it (aside from the green). You can do that by putting something colorful behind the waterdrop.

Just keep in mind that (a) the refracted image will be upside down) and (b) you need to have whatever it is that's being refracted in focus.

Which lens did you use for these pics?

I think 3 is the best, it's nice and sharp. But mostly because there isn't any distracting elements.

Thanks for the suggestions. Zev, I think I'll definitely be adding more color the next time I try this. I do not have a DSLR, my camera is a Panasonic DMC-FZ35. I've heard it called a hybrid super-zoom. I see it as my stepping stone from a regular P&S to a DSLR. It has full manual capabilities, so I should be able to learn some while I'm saving my pennies...

I hadn't really noticed on the first pic, but I guess the leaves in the background are a bit distracting. I will work on getting a better composition.

Thanks again.

That's actually the route that I took as well. My first digital camera was a regular P&S (Canon A20). The next one was a full manual P&S (Canon S3IS) and then I "graduated" to a DSLR (Canon XSi).

I like #1 and #3...

I really miss my 105 f2.8 VR lens. Wish I knew how it magically disappeared from my house.
