First Attempt at Newborn shoot

Unfortunately for me, this was already 3 weeks into the baby being born so she was very active and alert this day.

I did my best with what I had at the time utilizing natural lighting.

Thank you very much Derrel, I appreciate your kind words. I recently switched over to Nikon from Canon and at this moment lack a flash (just ordered one) to really make the photos pop. I decided to try something a little different with dramatic lighting in the third photo because I feel like the style of newborn photos is bright, sometimes overexposed, and I just felt I would try to be a little different in how I presented a newborn. I am currently on the journey of trying to decide what specific avenue of photography I would like to focus on, so I am trying my hand at several different types!
