The white balance seems off on the second one. I see a lot of yellow in it.

Yeah, I know, I did that because I thought it looked neat. Wasn't really going for realistic all that much there. I've always liked photographs that flirt with the lines of realism and abstract/cartoon-ish but that's just me and I don't know how others feel about it.

If that was the look you were going for then you nailed it. I haven't gotten into macro photography myself, so I couldn't begin to provide feedback other than that.

I like the abstract look of #2 however I feel the bulb needed a little clean. I can see a cobweb and hairs on it
