These would be amazing if I had a high def camera... So yeah these are the type of pictures I take what would you recommend?

Well for extreme bike closeups most anything will work. You didn't mention a budget, so not 100% sure exactly what your looking for, but for the landscape shots I'd probably look at a good used Nikon D3200. Has great dynamic range and a fabulous 24 mp sensor, produces really great photos once you learn how to use it.

If you have no experience with cameras, you could start with a good bridge camera.
Which price range do you have you have in mind?

Haha sorry I know I forgot something, Id say nothing over $600

The best bang for the buck is still getting any entry level DSLR from Nikon or Canon.

The D3200 would be possible, but my personal choice would be the D5200 because it has the better sensor, better autofocus and a very useful flipscreen.

If you want compact, go with a real compact, like the Sony RX100, so small you can keep it in a pocket. My personal favorite would be the Mark 2. The Mark 3 might not be inside your budget (or barely) and has some questionable choices (much less telephoto and a flipup viewfinder that stalls while focusing - rather useless really) and the Mark 4 certainly isnt (has better viewfinder and 4K video, though).

Yup, the D5200 is probably the best bang for the buck you can get right now. I shot the 5200 for a while, it's a fantastic camera.

A entry level DSLR is good, but you have to know what lenses to buy.
A versatile bridge camera is the Panasonic FZ300. Has a good and fast zoomlens,
and it can take 4K video. In daylight you will be able to take excellent pics but
for low light a DSLR is better.

If you decide to go with a DSLR I usually recommend you start with just a kit lens, something like the 18-55 mm. Learn to use the camera with that and then decide what other lenses you might want based on your needs.

Thanks, I might have a look at the D5200 and see how that goes.

Yeap Nikon D5200 or Nikon D5300 would be excellent cameras to start with and should be in your price range
