This was my first time photographing lightning at daytime, and it was quite a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. First off, I found out that if you use to long of exposures the lightning doesn't show up in the picture. I think this is because the short burst of light from the lightning gets choked out by the daylight in lond exposures. The time I was taking the pics was about 2 pm. I used a 2-2.5 second exposure, and a ND filter. Any tips and ideas have on how to improve would be great.
