First DSLR Pic

Hi all....just got my first DSLR...Olympus Evolt 410...price was good could not resist....probably will upgrade at some point in the future...anyway...please offer some C&C on this picture...thanks

 

When shooting people or pets/animals, focus on the eyes.

Be aware of where the light is coming from.

I like that you got close and filled the frame with the cat's head.

Cute cat.

 

id say you should have focused in between the eyes where most people are going to look first.

I like the short feild of view.

 

yeah bring the focal point towards the eyes more, more pleasing to look at

 

Ya you focused to much on the nose and you should try the eyes if you have selective focusing choose the eye area.

 

Here's an example of my pooch I shot this afternoon. Notice where the focus is.

 

that looks just like my cat minus the dot on the nose!

 

Almost, with the exception mine is a dog (yours is a cat), mine has the eyes in focus (yours doesn't) and mine has the nose out of focus (yours has the nose in focus).

But aside from those differences, they are identical! :lmao:

 

I think youre mistaking Atlas for the OP.
